The Federation This section provides information on the constitution and rules , committee and meetings of the Newmarket Badminton Federation.
Committee Members include a couple of new faces who were elected at the AGM 2011:

Previously, in 2005, after many years of service Anita Jones "retired" as Chairman and Gerry Widger (previous token male) also "retired". Angela Bowman stepped down at the end of the 2006/07 season.

Annual General (and Fixtures) Meeting 2011
The 2011 AGM and Fixtures Meeting was held on Wednesday 31st August 2011, starting at 7.00pm sharp, at the New Astley Club (map) CB8 8NT, Fred Archer Way, Newmarket - coming from the clock tower this is on the right hand side, opposite the Guineas (previously the Rookery) multi-story car park, which is free after 6pm.
All clubs (apart from Brandon and Little Shelford, included rejoining Abbeygate) were represented at this important meeting and the details, including minutes and updated rules, follow:
Note: Clubs are reminded to adhere to rule number 7 regarding match rearrangements (which all clubs should be aware of) so that hopefully rearrangement protocol will operate more effectively.

The 2010 AGM and Fixtures Meeting was held on Wednesday 25th August 2010, starting at 7.00pm sharp, at the New Astley Club (map) CB8 8NT, Fred Archer Way, Newmarket - coming from the clock tower this is on the right hand side, opposite the Guineas (previously the Rookery) multi-story car park, which is free after 6pm.
All clubs were represented at this important meeting and the details, including minutes and updated rules, follow:
* There is a revised rule, number 7, regarding match rearrangements which all clubs should be aware of, so that hopefully rearrangement protocol will operate more effectively.

The 2007 AGM was held on Monday 3rd September 2007, starting at 7.15 pm sharp, at the New Astley Club, Fred Archer Way, Newmarket - coming from the clock tower this is on the right hand side, opposite the Rookery multi-story car park, which is free after 6pm.
One major change for the leagues is the adoption of the new Rally Points Scoring system (the link is the Badminton England "simple" step-by-step guide).
Annual General (and Fixtures) Meeting 2006
The 2006 AGM was held on Wednesday 30th August 2006. Trophies for last season's league and cup winners were awarded at the meeting - see below for the 2006/07 league formation. After the AGM, the Rushworth draw took place (see below) and fixtures were arranged.

Annual General (and Fixtures) Meeting 2005 The AGM was held at Scaltback Middle School on Tuesday 30th August 2005 starting at 7.00 pm. Trophies were also awarded (Mixed Div 3 still to award). There were no proposals for changes to rules.
